Melanie Thandiwe NewtonOBE (TAN-dee-way;[1] born 6 November 1972), formerly credited as Thandie Newton (TAN-dee), is a British actress. Meet Dr. Thandeka Ngcobo, a young medical doctor from Ixopo in KwaZulu Natal who currently practices as a medical doctor at the Mafikeng Provincial Hospital. When she isn’t treating patients she is the corporate affairs officer at Ngcobo Empire, a talent management company that encourages black people to learn about and understand their family trees and culture.
Her role is to uphold the Ngcobo Empire’s brand identity and maintain stakeholder relationships. Thandeka is also a board member of the Godisanang Youth Empowerment Foundation, helping to develop the community she comes from and empower young girls.
She plans to choose a specialty once she has completed her community service. Through her career as a doctor, her role at Ngcobo Empire and her work with the Godisanang Foundation she hopes to guide and inspire young people to better themselves regardless of their background.
