1Publishing poetry is not for the faint-hearted. It is hard for young poets to find a publisher willing to take a chance on their first collections, as well as for publishing houses to survive on poetry alone. Both have to be pugnacious and resourceful if they want to go on. However, in recent years, poetry has managed to survive via a number of short-lived little magazines, protean anthologies, small and innovative publishing houses, and within the “poetry sections” of literary magazines.1 In fact, it perfectly adapted to this world’s new digital dimension. This article explores the Indian context of Bombay/Mumbai in order to show how the city’s urban poetry scene was transformed as it went online. As postcolonial Bombay turned into the modern-day megacity of Mumbai, its traditional poetic scene decayed; poets dispersed to distant suburbs, neighbouring cities, or even abroad; and the fragile ecosystem of publishing collectives disappeared. But as they moved online, little magazines kept playing a crucial role for poetry while inventing new practices – or adapting previously existing ones – that would alter the nature and future of the poetry collection.

Early life and education
[edit]Suhasini was born in a Marathi-speaking family in Patna where she spent the early part of her childhood. She lost her father when she was only three and was brought up by her mother, noted documentary filmmaker and film historian Vijaya Mulay. Suhasini was attracted to film because of her mother.[5]
Personal life
